Avianca on June 10 will introduce a new top tier into its Lifemiles loyalty program, the carrier announced Wednesday.
Qualifications for Magno status require members to earn more than 110,000 qualifying miles per year, all flown with Avianca, according to the carrier. The prior top tier, Diamond, requires 45,000 qualifying miles with a minimum of 22,500 flown with Avianca.
The additional benefits for this new level compared with Diamond status according to Avianca's website, include:
- 18 business-class upgrades in the Americas on international routes versus 12
- 12 business-class upgrades on domestic routes, up from eight
- Four upgrades to Insignia business class on routes to and from Europe, up from two
- 100 percent bonus miles on accumulated base miles compared with 80 percent for Diamond
- Personalized support with Magno Executive agents
- Snacks and beverages included on all flights
