Swiss International Air Lines now offers customers the ability to offset the carbon emissions of their air travel at the time of booking, the carrier announced Monday.
Customers will have three options: They can purchase a commensurate amount of sustainable aviation fuel; they can invest in climate protection projects from Myclimate, a carbon-offsetting and consulting organization; or they can combine the SAF and Myclimate options. Once chosen, the option is added to the cost of the ticket at the end of the booking process.
The carbon-offset option has been added to the online booking process through the carrier's website. Swiss plans to add the offset ability for mobile devices by the end of this year.
