Alaska Airlines has hired former United sales
director David Oppenheim as VP of sales, a new position for the carrier. Alaska
has tasked him with developing products and services for corporate customers
and expanding corporate market share. Last year, the carrier significantly
expanded its network on top of its acquisition of Virgin America. At
United, Oppenheim was a managing director overseeing global corporate and
travel management accounts, and he previously worked with airlines as a
principal with BCG.
